Known as “A Season of Elegance Fashion Show,” this year’s theme was the “Bold and the Beautiful.”
Men and women, as well as boys and girls, signed up to be models this year. They modeled fall fashions from Cato and Goody’s.
Among the fashions this year was a strong presence of gold shirts, pants and skirts. Another fashion statement for this fall is black. Vests and shirts, as well as pants and skirts, were modeled during the 30-minute show.
Emcee Linda McKenzie, who is a local singer, songwriter and realtor, announced the models and described their fashion to the dozens of people who attended the event. She also offered a challenge to other realtors in Middle Tennessee by encouraging them to donate $500 from each home sale to Healing Broken Vessels.
“The donations are tax-deductible,” she said.
Healing Broke Vessels director Diantha McLeod, said the fashion show helps raise money for their organization, which helps women in Wilson County.
“We provide educational services to them, by way of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel,” she said. “We have different people in the community to come and talk to the women about their needs. For instance, if someone is looking to build their credit, we will have someone in the community to come and talk to them.”
