Two charged in Henry County killing

Two suspects were charged in connection with a killing Saturday.

Phillip L. Nelson, 19, of Paris, and Ralph Vulpitta, 30, of Cottage Grove, were charged after an investigation by Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents and the Henry County sheriff’s investigators.

The victim, Joshua Josiah Hadar, was found dead Saturday in his vehicle parked at the Mini Mart in Puryear.

On Tuesday, Nelson was charged with first-degree murder and was held on $500,000 bond, and Vulpitta was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and was held on $400,000 bond.

Both men were in the Henry County Jail.
