HENDERSONVILLE — Aaron Hubbell pitched a one-hitter Monday night to send Wilson Central to the Hendersonville bracket final of the District 9-AAA tournament with a 6-1 win over Gallatin at Drakes Creek Park.

The Wildcats advanced to Tuesday’s night game against the winner of the loser’s bracket final between Gallatin and Hendersonville, the top seed in the bracket which was upset by the Green Wave in Sunday’s first-round game. If Central lost Tuesday, the “if necessary” game would be Wednesday with the winner facing the winner of the Mt. Juliet bracket in a winner-take-all championship game Thursday at the higher seed.

Hubbell allowed a second-inning run on a single. The right-hander walked three and struck out 13.

Central took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the third and put the game away with four in the fifth, finishing with 11 hits.

Hubbell also singled and drove in two runs.

Ethan Shelton doubled twice among three hits. Gabe Jennings and Connor Sullivan each collected two hits as they and Hayden Baker doubled.
